Coming from out-of-state, my wife and I knew we needed a local expert to guide our homebuying process. After some Googling, it became clear that Jeff Jolicoeur and the Surette Real Estate Team had bought and sold more homes in the Waterville area than almost anyone else. Who better to help us out? And thank goodness we were right. First of all, Jeff did as many virtual showings as we could throw at him. I thought for sure he would tire of our near-constant requests for disclosure statements but nope! Jeff made sure we got eyes on every single home we asked for, even if we were 1,500 miles away. He explained that all deals are unique and they don't all work out. Jeff never once made us feel like we should take a deal we didn't like. Again, having a local expert, who negotiates well, but doesn't pressure you? How valuable is that? For us, it meant everything, and it meant that we were able to close the deal after all. I could go on and on about Jeff and Surette Real Estate. When Jeff had to be out of town, his colleague Shawn Knox stepped in to facilitate showings. And yes, like Jeff, Shawn is extremely knowledgeable about Kennebec County having grown up here himself. Our experience with Shawn and Jeff has been so positive we would feel comfortable working with anyone from Surette Real Estate. Another thing about Jeff is that he's very good with rules and laws governing real estate agents and contracts. I found this to be very comforting. He was event director of the Maine Association of Realtors. I mean, c'mon: Do you need a Realtor in Kennebec Valley? Jeff was the right choice for us, hands down. We would feel comfortable with Jeff SELLING for us, too. His network is extensive, to say the least. You want someone who knows the other brokers when you are selling your house. Jeff knows them. Jeff seems to know everybody in these parts! But when you go to Surette's website, it isn't gimmicky. They aren't annoying with marketing and they aren't about "flash". They are about treating you like a human being while they get the job done. Their reputation speaks for itself. Example: Look up Jeff's reviews on Realtor.com. Who gets 149 5 Star Reviews? Honestly.
